Chỉ việc làm ra một đằng nhưng kết quả lại thành một nẻo, không đúng với mục đích hoặc dự định ban đầu. Thường dùng để nói những việc cho ra kết quả khác hẳn điều người ta mong muốn.

It refers to doing something with one intention but ending up with a completely different result. It is used for situations where the outcome turns out contrary to what was originally planned or expected.
